GROW with SAP is SAP's public cloud offering for new S/4HANA Cloud customers, delivering a preconfigured system built from SAP's Best Practice process content, alongside a fixed implementation methodology designed for faster go-lives. It carries a separate, less-publicized AI and Joule entitlement structure than RISE with SAP's private cloud model.
Where RISE is aimed at larger, more complex estates coming off ECC, GROW targets organizations starting closer to a blank slate, typically mid-market companies or greenfield S/4HANA deployments that don't need the tenant isolation and migration tooling RISE provides. The system arrives pre-loaded with SAP Model Company content: standard processes for the customer's industry, ready to configure rather than build from zero.
Because GROW is multi-tenant public cloud, its licensing model differs from RISE's Full User Equivalent structure, and so does its Joule entitlement. SAP has published far less detail on exactly what GROW customers get by default, which makes it worth confirming directly with SAP or a partner before assuming parity with what a RISE customer receives.
